Job Title: Senior Data Architect/Visualization Expert

Job Description

The Senior Data Architect at Achieve3000 is a member of the Reporting Services team, responsible for assisting in the architecture of the data which will feed the reporting and business intelligence functions at Achieve3000. The successful candidate will be able to think at an enterprise level while instituting changes on a local level.

Data Architecture Responsibilities

  • Work with the reporting and SysOps/Development teams to design and build the correct data structures (such as star schema) required to feed the reporting and business intelligence requirements of our customers and the internal teams, from the field to the executive level.
  • Proactively manage the design to meet the needs of the organization to work with structured, unstructured, historical, and forecasted data
  • Assist in projects to design and create data architectures required to produce meaningful data trends and insights that will allow management to make data driven decisions for customers and product development

Reporting and Dashboard Responsibilities

  • Design and maintain custom data dashboards for high profile customers and marketing campaigns using Tableau
  • Manage Tableau server tasks, such as site and content maintenance, data extract refreshes, and permissions, and scripting actions using the command-line utility (TabCmd)
  • Stay current with data visualization tools and techniques

Other Responsibilities

  • Communicate with Achieve3000 colleagues in the SysOps, , development team, sales, implementation, marketing department and management to carry out requests and deliver results
  • Respond to management, sales, implementation, and customer requests as needed
  • Support other Research & Analytics team members in their projects as necessary

Job Requirements

Education/Experience & Skills Required

  • Computer Science Degree or M.Sc. with coursework in quantitative analysis methods or equivalent experience
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL, Spark, Python and Redshift optimization
  • Advanced skills in Tableau desktop and server or another dashboarding/analysis tool
  • 3+ years of work experience in data architecture/visualization
  • Strong attention to detail and communication skills (oral and written)
  • Highly developed sense of curiosity
  • Be a continual learner, delighting in the acquisition of new skills and knowledge
  • A positive, proactive, team player attitude, excited to share knowledge with teammates
  • Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
